“Delight yourself also in The LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.”
I used to look at this scripture differently, but I asked God for a deeper revelation today, and that’s exactly what He gave me. He said to me, “Before I formed you in your mother’s womb, I knew you.” (Jer. 1:5) “I know the plans I have for you.” (Jer. 29:11) So when I looked at those scriptures, I thought to myself, God knows me. Meaning, He knows what He put in me. He knows my heart in its purest form, before sin polluted it. He put the desires there! But I didn’t come to know this until I delighted myself in Him; until I sought out happiness through His love and His word.
The more you bury yourself in God, the more He reveals to you. Once you go searching for Him, you WILL find Him. (Matt. 7:7) All this time, I’ve been thinking His will for my life was created around my decisions or my desires, but His will is His ALONE! He spoke over my life in the very beginning, and that’s it! His word still stands today. It’s been a guidance over my entire life, and it was up to me to discover that and yield to it. God doesn’t force Himself into your life, but He is ALWAYS right there, waiting for you to let Him in, and once He’s in, you’re His. There’s no sin bad enough or deep enough to push Him away. No matter how far you stray, God’s hand is still on your life. There’s absolutely nothing that can separate you from His love. (Rom. 8:38-39) But when you really love Him and choose Him, He’ll show you how He called you to be His chosen people; out of darkness and into His wonderful light. (1 Peter 2:9)
I’m praying that this word meets someone right where they need to be found today. You know where your relationship stands with God, and you know why you needed this and where you should go from here. Stay encouraged, stay covered in God’s word, and continue to do your best in making the right decisions, no matter how hard it gets. When you fall, get up and get right back in line! Don’t you dare beat yourself up! That’s the key to progression & that’s how you perfect your walk with Jesus.
Welcome to November, my good friends! Let’s make the very best of the remainder of this year!
